Water Pump Installation FAQs
Maintenance should be carried out routinely at quarterly, six monthly and annual intervals to highlight any potential concerns.
No supply, unusual noises, decreased water pressure and leaks are several indicators that your water pump needs to be investigated and potentially be replaced.
This would depend on the application of the system and a good service level. On average, well-maintained pumps can last anywhere from ten to fifteen years. However, pumps with significant wear or operating in harsh environments will likely need to be replaced sooner.
Depending on the extent of the damage or failure, pumps can often be repaired. Minor issues such as worn seals, wearing’s, bearings or scale are typically fixable through intrusive repairs (assuming good isolation). However, if the pump has significant damage or is nearing the end of its lifespan, replacement is often the better option.
